Islam

Islam is an Old World religion that remained mostly unscatthed from the transition into Orbido, at least in spirit. Many of its tenets of law were destroyed in a civil war at the dawn of Arbekan civilization. In the eyes of disgruntled fanatics it is now more of a philosophy than a state-altering religion, and should be reinkindled.
Despite the encounter with the Senders, the First Sent believers maintained their faith in their precepts. They considered the Sender's capture and relocation of their essence as just another part of their god Allah's and its prophet Muhammad's plan for them. The loss of their sacred texts, who remained only in memory, has not been resolved yet, and they count on the arrival of islamic Sent to complete their fractured records.

Stance on the Sent

Islamist call the reborn visitors "Alsaani", the Second Ones. Some subgroups respect these Sent and invite them in the universities so they can share the knowledges of the future, in the Old World. Other more radical groups see them as abominations, spawns of Hell that have been mistakenly returned to life and refused the light of Allah. Those extremists share many similarities with the Dread Path, though both groups are sworn enemies of the other.
