Upper Planes

The Upper Planes are a metaphysical extraplanar grouping of all planes where the gods and celestials live, and which generally personify the concept of goodness. They are as follows: Arcadia, Mount Celestia, Bytopia, Elysium, The Beastlands, Arborea, and Ysgard.
The Upper Planes forcefully reject beings made of evil or overly chaotic energy, such as Fiends or natives of Limbo. Even Humanoid Souls who contain too much evil are eventually either permanently altered or forcefully expelled into the Liminal Plane or The Great Beyond. Evil-aligned gods are powerful enough to live on and travel to these planes, and many do—Arawn holds dominion within the Beastlands, for instance—but those who do not respect the careful balance between good and evil are overwhelmed by the good-aligned gods and their servants and imprisoned in Acheron or somewhere similar.
