Kuralìma Mílaruk

Kuralìma Mílaruk was a Beholder summoned from the The Great Beyond by Stanford Hawthorne and the Order of the Banished Scholars in approximately Y940, deep within the Cave of the Banished Scholars. He was likely the main cause of death for Adventurers exploring the Caves in the nearly two centuries since they were sealed. In particular, he is believed to be the one who killed Julien Hawthorne.
As all beholders do—and as the Banished Scholars themselves idolized him for—Kuralìma Mílaruk shaped the world around him with his dreams. When he laid eyes on Lillith as she stepped out of the portal to Maladomini, he fell in love with her and began to dream of their son. This created the Face-Stealer, a unique part-Fiend part-Aberration that brought about the destruction of all Humanoid life within the Cave of the Banished Scholars and desecrated the way magic worked in its depths.
After this wave of destruction, Kuralìma Mílaruk dreamed of his own death and transformed into an Undead version of himself, a floating skull controlling motes of light that transfigured and warped his unlucky victims. This is the form the Heroes of Cape Hildegard found him in when they arrived in his lair in Y1110, and the form in which they finally killed him.
