Church of Two Daughters

Drakesland Wharf's harbor is larger than that of most villages of its size. This is for two reasons. First, Drakesland Wharf is the only navigable harbor on the whole of Isle Machmorraig. There are isolated populations deeper inland on the isle, such as the Druid circles of the central woods and the minotaur clan that resides on the island's east side, for whom the harbor of Drakesland Wharf is a vital lifeline to the rest of the world. Secondly, the population booms to almost 400 each August for the annual sea drake hunt. Fishermen and warriors come from nearby islands and viilages to partake in the hunt and the trading of meat, bones, scales, and most importantly Drakeshide.Government
The village is run by a small town council elected by majority vote every five years. For the past twenty years, Mikhail Vanderaa has been the head of the town council.
Industry & Trade
Most of the town is involved in the fishing industry, whether directly as fishers or in supporting industries such as boatswains, carpenters, weavers, etc.
Geography
Drakesland Wharf is the lone navigable harbor in the otherwise deeply inhospitable coastline of Isle Machmorraig. There are a number of steep hills and rocky cliffs along the rest of the coast, and a dense forest towards the inland side of the town.
