Baphomet
Baphomet, the Horned King, Overseer of the Maze is a Demon Lord of a ziggurat palace that lies at the lowest levels of Carceri. He delights in the torture of the damned who wander his maze, and watches them constantly from high above.
Baphomet appears as a many-antlered humanoid goat, with cloven hooves and thick purplish-black fur. He wields a halberd known as the Heartcleaver, with which he strikes down anyone who attempts to bypass or cheat at his maze. He has the ability to manipulate time, space, and gravity within the Endless Maze in which he tortures the souls of the damned.
Cults dedicated to Baphomet prize secrecy and obfuscation. Their symbols often depict mazes and complex knots. With enough worship and sacrifice, a cultist of Baphomet may take on a form resembling a Minotaur—considered the highest possible honor.
