Speaker in Shreds

The Speaker in Shreds was a wraith bound to the service of Vhakizla. As its name implies, the Speaker was often used as a spokesperson for the dracolich, delivering her will and word wherever Vhakizla wanted it known.

Description

Like all wraiths, the Speaker in Shreds appeared an incorporeal humanoid, composed of pure shadow. Its name made reference to its unique appearance – the shadows that writhed about the Speaker were especially tattered, as though made from threadbare rags. When it spoke, it spoke in a mismatched unison, like dozens of voice either whispering or screaming in agony.

• Vhakizla: When Chimera signed the contract with Vhakizla, it was the Speaker in Shreds who delivered it. (Chapter 1) When the Silver Saber arrived at the mouth of the Heartvein River to discover it blockaded by the Pious Armada, it was the Speaker in Shreds who ordered her to break the blockade. (Chapter 2)
