The Menagerie

The Menagerie (2021 – ?) is a globetrotting military fantasy campaign. Set in the Second Age of Ondûn, it follows the titular Menagerie, a struggling mercenary company, hungry to make a name for themselves. Each adventure sees the heroes negotiating contracts, managing morale, waging wars and pillaging their fair share of plunder. The themes of the campaign are war, politics and leadership.   Unlike All Hail Yog or Helm & Crown, The Menagerie is a personal campaign – neither streamed or recorded.

Premise

The Menagerie has fallen on hard times. Founded by the legendary Chimera, hero of the Night Wars, the mercenary company has fought on four continents – and yet has not one a single major victory. When the campaign begins, the company teeters on the brink of collapse and only an unlikely contract with Ondûn's first dracolich offers any chance to restore their reputation.

Cast & Characters

  • Cody Bushee as Griffon: A half-orc slayer, Griffon is one of Commander Chimera's two sons. Devoted to the orcish ways, he is likewise devoted to the company and its success.
  • Kate Enge as Mouse: A kobold rogue, Mouse was adopted by the company following a contract gone wrong. They are not quite housebroken, attaching themselves to the nearest adult.
  • Hallie Clawson as Remorhaz: An elven bard, Remorhaz is an old veteran, fighting with Chimera during the Wars. He's dedicated to the Vai Udhariad, an obscure swordfighting form.
  • Steven Molony as Umber: An orc barbarian, Umber is one of Commander Chimera's two sons. A reckless roustabout, all Umber wants to do is drink and party and have a good time.
