Oasis of Mizqari

Deep in the heart of the desert, some 25 leagues east of the life-giving waters of the Qesh, and the somber marble halls of Kazahn lies the lush, verdant oasis of Mizqari. Fed year round by a deep natural spring, the oasis gives sanctuary to many species of wild birds and herd animals, like the delicate dune gazelle, called kiliki, or "sand-fairy" by the natives, who prize, and never kill them.
The oasis is also home to a thriving caravan community, as diverse as the unexpected wildlife. But though they offer a warm welcome to any who come in peace, the residents of Mizqari are also legendary in their skill with spear, sabre, and bow, and well-accustomed to handling both wild predators, and unscrupulous raiders.
