No'o Vaipuu radio towers (no'ʔo ʋa'ipu: ra'dio he:'a)

Known affectionately as the Singing Sisters, the Noʻo Vaipuu (white mountain) radio towers are a pair of multiwire T broadcast antennae near the summit of Noʻo Vaipuu on Kono'i's Hook Island. Built in 5.917 by local inventor and entrepreneur Hoaka Konala, the Sisters transmit 30-minute radio programmes designed to improve the health and general wellbeing of listeners.

Construction

Construction of the towers began in 5.916, funded by the Keʻaowae Broadcast Committe, and was completed over the course of two years, with progress being hampered by a longer-than-average hurricane season. The towers are constructed from bamboo and copper wire, with a broadcast house at the base of the North tower which houses the radio operator and their family.

Programming

The Noʻo Vaipuu radio towers broadcast four main programmes twice daily, between 0600 and 2200. Each programme was created by Konala himself and is designed to affect one of the four sapient species which make up the majority of the island's populaton. Per Kono'iwae broadcast regulations, there are two additional programmes, each an hour long, broadcast at midnight and 2am. The first of these is designed to improve the wellbeing of the land and the ocean, and the second is a long-form poetic hymn to the regional deity Kono'i-Keʻaowaoki.   The restorative programs follow a set format, beginning as discordant sounds intended to capture the attention of disparate parts of the body-self and slowly resolving into a harmonious song over the course of ten minutes. The latter part of the broadcast is a continuation of the song interspersed with audio recordings from the island, intended to integrate the physical souls of the listener into a more harmonious configuration within themselves and their environment. Each sapient species has their own program which uses specially selected instruments and audio samples tuned to what Konala describes as 'spiritually resonant frequencies'.

Medical benefits

Konala claims the broadcasts improve the following conditions:
  • irritability
  • lethargy
  • loss of appetite
  • muscle ache
  • nerves
  • premature moulting and balding
  • sleeplessness
  • thin scales
  • tiredness

Oh in like this idea, the healing nature of a broadcast. Very creative.

You should check out the The 5 Shudake, if you want of course.
