Kingdom of Enesar
The Kingdom of Enesar has a reputation like none other. Soldiers to the last the peoples of this great land would feel as if they have never known true peace. From the north lay the threats from the Lands Fallen. From the south the horrors that come out from the Dreaming Forest. Both have been held for generations as they stand firm.
Though Enesar is a Kingdom they have no King. Other nations often refer to Enesar as the Kingless Lands. During the event that would later be called "The Fall" the Last King Orthel was slain in a gallant act saving his troops. During the ensuing chaos his son and daughter were lost on the Thalinor Sea and the West Sea as they tried to retreat to Anras Tiris and Anras Iniath. Since there was no King a Regent was appointed to rule in his steed. It has been this way since the Fall.
To guard against the terror of the Lands Fallen a great fortress was built running from mountain to mountain. Orthellian. This fortress has never fallen and is a point of pride among all of Enesar. A common refrain among the soldiers is "Orthellian stands".
The people of Enesar speak a language not heard anywhere else in the world - High Common. Only those that adventure out, or dignitaries, learn Common. If you were to listen and not be fluent you may be able to make out every fifth word or just enough to hopefully understand the persons intent. Knowing a bit of Elvish helps close the gap.
