Anras Tiris

Anras Tiris, the Bastion of Men. A spectacle blending the architecture of Men, Dwarves, and the Elves this city is a nearly a fortress. The northern and southern ends of the city are built vertically into the mountains in which are several towers layered with ballista and trebuchets on top. Twenty foot high walls border every aspect of the city with no house left uncovered. Outside forces have never broken its walls and entered the city.
When ships catch sight of Anras Tiris while sailing through the Thalinor Sea the sailors warn the first timers of what they are to see. Kings of Old carved into the sides of the mountains flanking ships as they pass into the harbor followed by a grand vertical ascent into the city after they disembark. In front of the King's Palace a waterfall coming off the mountain flows into a great well cut into the terrace the lone palace is build upon. The beauty and marvel of it has brought tears to sailors eyes - and stories to far away lands.
It is not an uncommon sight to see those from Mithlorien and Thag Uthrin put up in the best of living quarters and treated as honored guests during their stay.
