House Starym

The Elven House of Starym (Star-im) is one of the oldest Ellasti Families in Elvenhome. Their history goes back thousands of years to a time before the Gods came to Nor. They have a reputation of being strange and aloof even more than normal Elves. They are interested in the mysteries of the world, more so than what is happening on Nor. They study the stars and sky, in an effort to learn more about this plane of existence and seek to unravel the mysteries of the universe that way.

Structure

The Family is led by the Stargazer, usually the eldest of the family, but not always.  From there the family ranking go by age.

Culture

The Starym family is more isolated from the rest of the world than even their fellow Elves.  Even most Elves outside the family have trouble understanding them.  Due to this they tend to keep away from others not in their family.  They try to ignore the rest of the world if they can, as  they feel that their goal in understanding the fundamental secrets of the material plane is more important to the well being of everyone.

Public Agenda

The family is dedicated to the study of the Material Plane Nor resides in and in particular the space outside of the world itself.  They believe the stars hold the answers to the mystery of our universe.

Assets

The Family is very rich and powerful per the standards of the elves.  Even though they tend to be isolated, there are many elders in the family with a lot of personal power.  They also have several older elves who practice True Elven Magic and that alone gives them great influence on the community.

History

The Starym Family is very old, and has roots in Arvendar.
