Great Houses of Elvenhome

The great houses of Elvenhome are Noble houses that rule the elven city and land around it.  The houses are each responsible for important function of the governing of the city.  The leaders of each of the houses sit on the Elven Council, which advises the King.  

The houses also have a lot of power in the governing of the city.  They can chose to remove the King, and install a new king.  They can Elevate houses to Great House status, or demote houses to lesser Status.  They can establish the responsibility of a particular Great House.
