Andlo Beleed
Andlo Beleed
The son of Pelan refugees, Andlo Finikh was born and raised in Ethion. After meeting Lysi Beleed, he moved to Illegate, where she was training to be head matriarch of the local temple. They had two children: Matsias Beleed and Lamel Beleed. Andlo worked as a teacher in a local public school until the 1950s when new laws declared that Pelan could not work at or attend public schools. After that, he set up a school in the temple, where he taught the Pelan children, as well as visiting Thisaazhou children, using whatever materials the families were able to obtain and provide. In 1961, he and his wife received word that an Illegate militia group intended to burn down the Pelan temple during morning service. Working with his wife and the other adults in the community, they ensured an escape route for the children, aboard a train run by a non-Pelan friend, Lishald Fandel, and spent the last hours of his life in the fire, singing hope and blessings upon those survivors.
