Session 80 - Snake Eyes

General Summary

Finn rode up with Grant on the Reapers' Ship! After a nice reunion, the party went back to Port's house to relax and get a good night’s rest. Being pirates, the members of the Reapers were quick to accept booze from Port’s private collection. Everyone drank together and had a good time joking around long into the night.

The next morning, Dimo and a decent crew were gathered and brought aboard the ship. Finn, as Captain, chose to have Hamilton be Quartermaster and Sasha be the First Mate. Finn paired Dimo with Hamilton, and Atticus with Sasha, as well.

After charting a course for the Roaring Isle and delivering a powerful speech, the ship set sail for its 7-day journey. During the beginning of the trip, things were quiet. Finn tried to arrange a cards tournament, but this only made the crew less likely to listen to orders. Sasha tried to whip the crew into shape, and was able to convince Atticus to help her. Finn confessed his unease toward being Captain to Hamilton, who did his best to encourage the poor Servo.

The conversation was interrupted, however, by a ship of Demons preparing to fire at the party! The crew tried to engage them quickly, but weren’t quite ready to go until after a shot had torn through their ship’s sails. The two ships traded blows as they slowly inched closer to one another.

Sasha had the idea to tie ropes to the missiles being fired from their mangonels, connecting the two ships. The shot rang true, and the crew jumped on pulling the ship closer to them. The ships got closer and closer to each other, until Finn took his opportunity to try boarding.

Shooting a roped bolt into the enemy’s sail, he swung across the water. However, the bolt came loose mid-swing, sending Finn rocketing over the ship and into the water in the distance.

Separated from one another, and with their ship potentially about to collide with another, our Misfits are certainly in rough waters...
