Archpriestess of Vitaria

Every city of even average size has a temple of Vitaria with an Archpriestess. This means that the Arcpriestesses are the most common variation of Archpriests in all the churches, which is normal as the church of Vitaria has the largest presence and the most temples of all. The role played by an Archpriestess depends on where she finds herself, if she is in a dangerous area with monsters and battles, she will be using her abilities in order to heal the wounded, and ensure that food and water are enough. In places of harsh climate and weather, she will use her powers to bless the lands and help the people survive and get through tough times. However, in places of peace and politics, the church shows its uglier side, with steep prices for healing, and services available only to the rich.

The role of an Archpriestess in these cases is to decide prices, availability, order the priests on what to do, and expand the influence of the church in the city through whatever means she can. Be that through helping the people with food and festivals, or striking deals with other factions to stop helping the people for a while, and let someone else have the spotlight in return for something greater. These games of politics are where the most important Archpriestesses find themselves in, and try to protect the balance between their reputation to the people, and the money and influence that can be gotten in dealings that alter their original purpose.

Requirements

In order to become an Archpriestess, there are two requirements. First, that you are female, as only females can create life and as such are closer to Vitaria. Secondly that you are a priest of Vitaria, and have shown yourself to be of great dedication to the goals of the church, as well as having gained clerical powers given by Vitaria. This can either mean devoted to helping people, or more political and economical goals.

Appointment

The appointment of an Archpriestess is generally done by an Archpriestess in a grand ceremony, where all citizens of the city are invited to partake in the festivity. After that, the newly appointed Archpriestess immediately takes her position in the city, or leaves for her new city.
