Aeful Academy

The Aeful academy is a magic focal point located on the island of Aeful. Young persons of potent unrealized magical energy are recruited by the Aeful Shi-Sharur. They are then enrolled in a 60 credit program to ensure that they can preform magic regulated by the alumni council. Once graduated a mage will often be granted a single limited wish, and sent off to a continent to work for and against the governing body. 
Aeful academy contains 8 colleges that hybridize 2 of the schools of magic, to instill a sense of allegiance and competitive drive. The academy has a severe survivor ship curve with at least 20% of graduating class dying each year. Though this fact is not often advertised.

Structure

Aeful Academy is the premier magic academy for the arcane. With the åtte seter at the helm, 8 separate headmasters or ett sete run their particular college wing. Each college while tied together are individually responsible for their selected students each employing multiple professors. Many more staff are involved including the 8 Shi-Sharur who function as security and recruitment to an extent. The classes themselves are small with only about 500 new students entering each year. That is when factoring in potential to use magic, desire to use magic, being in the right age group for recruitment and being located and recruited.

Culture

As you would expect from any college there is a lot of spirit. The nature of Aeful academy allows this competitive spirit to occur within campus grounds, allowing for a very cloistered academic experience. As a result the students develop unique and creative forms of entertainment to pass the time. Often serving to make the mortality rate even worse than it already is. The professors are resigned to their life style. Drained or dutiful they continue to ensure that the arcane remains regulated across the globe.

Public Agenda

Aeful's primary purpose is the continued regulation of magic users. By training powerful mages and allocating them strategically they can ensure that they control a semblance of the national political sway.

Aeful academy has vast libraries of arcane knowledge. The academy has about 2,000 mages trained deployed across Na'Endreth.
