Withered Heath
In the land between the Northern and Southern forks of the Grey Mountains lies the Withered Heath. In days of old MELKOR bred his Dragons here, and here they breed to this day.
The land is charred and rent from the violent battles of these terrible beasts. For although they do come out into the rest of the world and wreak destruction, for the most part they stay here fighting and devouring each other in a constant set of battles of brains and brawn.
When a dragon does come forth to attack others it is usually the product of years of successful conflict with other dragons where the consumed strength of its opponents enabled the attack on others.
This land is not a fit place for any non-dragon to tread.
