Shadowed Heart

"Do you hear the beat of the Shadowed Heart? The way it crawls into your mind and doesn't let go? It tells me many things, paladin. It tells me your gods are false. It tells me your soul is damned. And best of all, it tells me everyone else is too!" -Quote from a man found at the center of a Shadowed Heart ritual. Man later committed suicide after killing the Paladin who apprehended him.

The Shadowed Heart are a religious group that was founded by La'Cunae during the Feroxian Liberation War. After the war, they splintered from the Zygallic Church in -1 A.E. and were deemed "heretics" by the Zygallic Church. In the present day, none openly call themselves a member of the Shadowed Heart. Operating in secret, the group is split amongst several small cabals of families that have since been indoctrinated into their society.

Structure

A dark cult, none know of the leadership of this group. Only whispering and rumors. They exist in sects, independent of one another, yet the ones running each sect appear in constant contact with each other. It is unknown which goal they are working toward, except that it appears uncaring to those they harm. This is how the rest of the world sees them, and this is not entirely untrue. However, the Shadowed Heart are further reaching than many would expect.

Public Agenda

They have no public agenda, but wherever they've been discord and atrocities are always found in abundance.

History

None know when the group was founded. However they were first publicly discovered in the year 115 and have been a sense of endless speculation ever since. According to Madam Coro'Nea in Three Point River, they were founded by one of the Lost Messiah - La'Cunae, the Black Witch.
