The Wild Hunt's Alpha

Obadiah Larsen, grandfather to Levi, Werebear, and protector of Hofsa, arrives at the League Guildhall, catching Levi by surprise as he was missing for a long while and he presumed that he may have been dead. Obadiah reassured Levi that "he's old for a reason" and that he "sleeps for a long time".   He has arrived to ask Levi and the League for assistance--the Blood Tribes of Llywelyn consist of mostly feral werewolves and lycanthropes. However, in recent months there has been more unity between them and they have been more focused. There is an apex Werewolf that has brought alphas with him to organize the packs. Their attacks are stronger and more dangerous now, acting with insight and forethought rather than just bestial rage. But more than that, they seem to be working together toward something. Obadiah needs help.   The party was dealing with multiple emergencies at one time, so they split up half of the party going with Obadiah and recruiting a few new members. They began to travel westward to reach Llywelyn.   They stopped at Caer Craftenor along the way, as the Poc Fair was taking place and the party discovered that there were werewolves infiltrating the guard at the fair, looking to cause mayhem and use the opportunity to attack Queen Emeldawn Alistair when she was due to arrive at the last day of the Poc Fair.   The party uncovered their plots, with the lycanthropes sensing the beast in Levi and mistakingly believing him to be one of them. They also informed him fully of Ulfr, the apex werewolf's plan. He had sent out a call for as many lycanthropes as possible to come to Llywelyn, where he intended on summoning The Wild Hunt. He would then challenge the alpha dog of the hunting pack and take control of the pack. The werewolves gathered would join the pack as well. The Hunt follows its hunting dogs, so Ulfr would lead it through the cities of the Isles, massacring the people and leaving as many as he could infected with lycanthropy.   The party warned Queen Emeldawn of the plan at the fair, bolstering Baremin Barleyhare's reputation even further. The party also took out the lycanthropes that were looking to attack and cause mayhem at the fair. They then continued on, receiving swift passage to Llywelyn through an Emissary of the Stag King who opened a trod for them to travel through.   Arriving in Hofsa, the party made it to Levi's hometown. They had also noted the more organized raids that the lycanthropes were mounting, and as the party prepared to find the Moonwell that Ulfr planned on calling the Hunt to, Hofsa was attacked by werewolves mounting a three pronged attack. The party had realized by this time that once the alphas of the packs were eliminated, the werewolves without leadership returned to more primal and feral tactics, including fleeing when overwhelmed.   The party mounted their advance to the Moonwell, finding their travels seemingly protected by the Court of Leaves and Whispers, the Court of Brook and Bawn, and even the hags of Boora Coven. The party eventually found Ulfr and the Moonwell, though dozens upon dozens of lycanthropes were camped out around the area.   The party had a couple of members infiltrate and move in closer and once they started the attack, the others came to join. Ulfr blew on his Call of the Wild, which started to draw the Wild Hunt toward them. The party continued their fight, trying to harry Ulfr as he went toward the arriving pack. However, the party was able to slay him before he challenged the alpha of the hunting pack.   But the other lycanthropes were still there and the hunting pack of the Wild Hunt was summoned and the hunters were close behind, potentially leading to chaos and indiscriminate killing. But then, the ghostly form of Old Black Wolf of the Hills appeared and moved forward and possessed the pack alpha. With her now leading the Hunt, the riders came through and slew the lycanthropes, sparing the party as they moved on from there.   Any remaining lycanthropes fled. There will still be some wild, feral packs of lycanthropes stalking in the isle of Llywelyn, but it would at least return to normal. Ulfr was defeated and the Hunt had moved on. However, a soldier of the Oleander Throne was found, tortured and tormented in Ulfr's war tent.
