History
A Family Affair
Born the youngest child and raised to a upper class family in the Coalition country of Maqenid, Seliq always had to contend with sibling rivalries, despite his best attempts to avoid them. While his siblings fought and strove each other for the estate, Seliq invested his time into studies and hunting. Engineering caught his mind the most; the creation of machinations and architecture that could birth cities or sustain life in the most unsustainable locales. Despite not vying for attention from his parents, Seliq's siblings still saw him as a threat to their inheritance, and consistently shunned and bullied him. His interest in the lands of the Gérouns began during one of the more heinous acts of malintent, where his eldest brother attempted to throw the much smaller Seliq into a town well. He was saved by a wandering group of Gérouns who intervened, and reported the eldest brother to the authorities. Seliq, fascinated with the new race that had saved him, asked many questions of their home and their values. He was intrigued, and vowed to the group to visit their land someday.Education and Migration
Seliq left the estate for University of Maqenid as soon as he was able, to escape the growing ire of his siblings and to travel his own path in life. The young human excelled in his selected Major of Civil Engineering and soon found himself as an apprentice of a local construction office. Here he toiled away, assisting in everything from laying down foundations to maintaining the local aqueducts. Yet with every brick laid and with every swing of the hammer he remembered his desire to travel to the land of the Gérouns. Soon enough, the desire to explore and the pressures from his still ever-present family forced him to find the next boat to Irisport.A Traveling Contractor

A human migrated from the lands of the Seaglow Coalition. Seliq is an educated engineer making his rounds to improve life for the Gerouns while learning all he can of their culture.

Six Months
Six Months. Six Months it has been since I bribed Captain Solis for a ride to Menicea.
Meeting Solis was like a sign from god. A shining opportunity to leave Maqenid behind and make my life on another shore. I expected it to be rough, sure. Not many can abandon one life to start another. Yet when I arrived at Irisport, and began clawing my way back up, that's exactly what I was doing.
There was no family name to sell myself on anymore. It was my mind and skill alone that pushed me past starving to death. I remember the first job I took; the Antaries family. Funny that name is back to being fresh on that mind. Now I could survive, but my heart yearned to explore.
There is so much mystery to Menicea. So many people who still could use my help. Yet until today, I've been stuck in Irisport. A beautiful city no doubt, but there is only so much you can glean from a port.
Fortune smiles upon me once more. A job to go to Fargon.
An Antaries son named Gino and a Morknar named Kisha. I being to think that Antaries are secretly providing me the means to grow, hence why I will tolerate Gino's racism... for now.
But Kisha, only good memories of Kisha. She was quick to ask me of my home, and how she could make some cuisine from my home.
It is no doubt an exciting time. A chance to learn more about the Gerouns, and a chance to show my good will once more.
