The Bandits Of Fargon I
15th day of the 9th month, 250

Written at the dawn of the 15th day of the 9th month, 250   Allow me to catch you up on my journey, reader.   On this most beautiful day, the 15th of the 9th month, I am setting off with a Morknar and a Human to the town of Fargon. It's a mining village in the Sun Mountains, and a band of raiders came through, scared everyone, broke the mining gear... and so on. I didn't entirely pay attention—the Morknar did, and they don't forget anything.   Fedaggio Glen Fiagris, speaking on behalf of Gati Glen Vertos (the Vertos are a noble family, for those keeping track) informed us that they need us to go to Fargon, oversee the unblocking of the mines, fix the equipment, and recon the position of the raiders... maybe knock some heads if needed.   Payment: We get to keep the dlintiarnas we've been given for the job, we get paid, and there's eyes on us in case we do a particularly good job.   Longshort—I get to be a hero.   Oh and the human and morknar as well, I suppose.

Sien-Grissos

Written on the evening of the 14th day of the 9th month, 250   Furless outsiders. Furless. Outsiders.   The distinction is important.   You can live in Ménicéa and call it your home. I'm not enthused by those who do, but I understand that our proud nation needs growth. Fresh ideas and hands are needed to invigorate our economy and to export word of our wonders.   But do not call yourself Ménicéan, furless ones. You do not even know what it means. The bones of my ancestors lay in the hills over Irisport, and in the hills of all the great cities of this land. Even in death they hold vigil. Out blood has watered these crops, our families have built all that there is.   You are not Ménicéan. Your blood is from another place, and belongs to another land.

The Bandits of Fargon II

We have arrived in Fargon.   Something is not right.   But I'm getting ahead of myself.   First a bit of catchup.   We gained one and we lost one. The birdie, Kisha, had to depart on important affairs but we have gained another géroun, Henriq. He was sparring the Prexyanns and dispatching them with ease, so I squared off against him as well and he kicked my ass, too.   I like him, I'd like to learn a little more from him.   After that we reached Fargon, and I was approached by a child who must have thought I was her father, because she looked very disturbed when I turned to face her and happened to not be. She then thought I was there to save her father. I told her I would try, and gave her a coin to cheer her up.   Vicar Feresco, the governor, explained to me that the girl's father stole money and a dlintiarna, and got sent to Irisport to pay off the debt. He got in some fights while there, and had his sentence extended.   What's strange to me is Fargon looks fine, well, except for the governors mansion, which has broken windows and which he says still gets pelted by rocks from time to time.   Perhaps these bandits are more than have been described. Is bandits just another term for disenfranchised workers?
