Wardens of Corthir
The Wardens are a small mercenary Company with a solid reputation for integrity. They specialize in guard duty and keeping the peace.
Originally formed to act as security in the City of Coranan they are now contracted to guard various manors within the Barony of Winen. The have joined the Rethemi Civil war on the side of the Earl of Tormau.
Structure
The founder and leader is Captain Scollus Trimbell, a man said to be so devoid of personality, he has never taken a bribe.
History
702TR - Wardens founded by Scollus Trimbell, a hard-bitten 25 years veteran of the Kom Legion, replacing a corrupt and disorganized collection small mercenaries bands. Trimbell was well respected and had support from the majority of the senate. The Wardens duties included guarding the City of Coranan's walls and markets.
Spring 721TR - With the sighing of the The Treaty of Themeson the Wardens contract was not renewed.
Autumn 721TR - The Wardens relocated to the Kingdom of Rethem and accepted a new contract, garrisoning the manors under the control of the Constable of Winen Castle (Knight Commander Athena Pallas). The company is effectively fighting for the Rebels in the Tormau Rebellion.
Military
The Wardens work in squads of five men, each assigned to a Manor in the Barony of Winen. They take orders from the Bailiff of the Manor.
The men are equipped in good quality ringmail and a roundshield and armed with a crossbow, spear, and shortsword.
