Temple of Agrik - The Heprariccan

The temple to Agrik the evil god of fire and war.

It is a walled complex with temple, barracks, and stables. In the center of the courtyard is a 10ft tall granite and metal statue of a clawed hand wielding a mace protruding from the ground, the Heprariccan. During ceremonies, this is covered in flammable oil and lit.

Occupants

It is guarded by an overstrength chapterhouse of the Order of the Red Shadows of Hepra.

A short but extremely strong looking man with the left side of his face severely burnt. His eye socket houses a black gem.

Knight Commander - Sir Wolden Tenin

Commands the local chapterhouse of the Red Shadow and the temple guard.

Purpose / Function

Principal church for the worship of Agrik in Telen, primarily to administer to the faithful in the Legions.

Base of operations for the Order of Hepra the Mace and the Reds Shadows of Hepra.

Houses the Octagonal Pit of Eternal fire and the Haprariccan.

History

714TR - When the Eight Demons rebelled and split from the Order of the Hepra the Mace, the temple was seriously under threat. A contingent of the new formed Order of the Cohorts of Gashang and mercenaries arrived in Telen to convince the temple to convert to the new order.

Clan Nordaka supplied Legionary "volunteers" to act as support and after a brief verbal altercation the Cohorts were forced to retreat. Why the Nordakas supported the Herpans when other prominent senatorial figures favored the Eight Demons is unclear.
