City of Shiran
Shiran, located on the north bank of the Thard River near Lake Benath.
It is Hârn’s smallest city, capital of Shiran Province and one of the Thardic Republic’s economic and cultural centers. The city has a reputation for corruption and hedonism and is known throughout Hârn as the City of Sins.

Industry & Trade
Shiran is the pleasure capital of Hârn renowned for luxury goods, especially perfumes, fine dyes and dyed cloth, and slaves. Guilds of miners, metalsmiths, and jewelers are prosperous.
Most of Shiran’s trade by barges on the River Thard or to a lesser extent by caravans travel the paved road to the City of Coranan.
The Courtesans’ Guild, closely associated with the Church of Halea attracts the wealthy from all over western Hârn. Corruption and bribery are widespread and black markets, run by the thieves guild, thrive.

Caer Shira - headquarters of the Shiran Legion and residence of the Marshall of the Shiran Province.
Palace of Ewair - Residence of the Magistrate as well as the chancery and courts.
Pamesani Arena - The violent and very popular Pamesani Games.
Haven's Wharf - A harbor always a hive of activity, unfortunately near the cities sewer outlets.
Temples
Shiran has a reputation for religious tolerance, however, is dominated by the Church of Halea. The Church of Morgath is actively discouraged, but not illegal.
Halea - Order of the Silken Voice and seat of the Hârnic Primate of Halea.
Agrik - Order of the Eight Demons and head temple of the order.
Agrik - Order of the Octagonal pit and the Pamesani arena.
Larani - Order of Hyvrik.
Peoni - Irreproachable Order.
Save K'nor - Order of Rydequelyn.
Ilvir - Order of Seafarer Ibenis and hostel for Pilgrims.
Additionally, there are rumors of an illegal hidden Temple to Naveh.
History
372TR - The local Shira tribe is conquered by the Corani Empire.
563TR - The Balshan Jihad sweeps through the Corani Empire. Horahnam Tekhos, a Morgathian priest, seizes power over hundreds of dead bodies.
568TR - Horahnam founds the Theocracy of Tekhos with Shiran its capital. This was a brutal and much-hated regime.
588TR - Horahnam is assassinated and the Theocracy of Tekhos collapses and the Morgathian temple was sacked and any supporters killed.
625TR - Shiran Republic founded.
636TR - Shiran joins with the Coranan Republic forming the Thardic League.
674TR - Thardic Republic is founded.
Natural Resources
Lake Benath supplies a prosperous fishing industry and materials for the perfumers industry.
Silver and Iron ore, from the Mines in the Kom District, are shipped via lake Benath to Shiran.
