Reckoner (a.k.a. Black Rook)
Reckoner is a warforged that was brought to life over 2000 years ago by a long dead civilization. He is known as the Black Rook of the Society of the Silk Rose and has been behind several killings throughout Castleport.

Facial Features
Reckoner has red, glowing eyes that light up during surges of emotion.
Specialized Equipment
Like all Warforged, he has a one meter-long blade that he conceals within his arm. This has proved most effective in combat and has bested many foes.

Personal history
Reckoner was forged in the fires of the Irroc Forge of the Phasnosh Civilization thousands of years ago. He and his fellow warforged were brought to life for the sole reason of waging war against the now-extinct Ah'naax culture in what is today Oduth. The war dragged on for centuries until finally the Phasnosh themselves disappeared through some calamity. Left without a master and a purpose, Reckoner was left to find his own way in the world.
He wandered the countryside of Oduth - a land which was more his home than Autria where he was "born" - for centuries more. During that time he took on various roles: adventurer, explorer, sell-sword. He would attempt several efforts to atone for his past sins. Sometimes this would take the form of setting up charities; other times it would be simple acts of kindness.
Regardless of his efforts, he always noticed the fear and resentment of the local populace at his artificial visage. The societal memories of the legions of "metal men" laying waste to the people were often used as stories to keep small children in line. Over time, the history he lived faded into myth and legend.
Intellectual Characteristics
Reckoner is highly intelligent and incredibly wise, given the length of time that he has been alive. He has specialties in the arcane, and despite only having limited magical abilities himself, he is well versed in the mystic arts and keeps a vast collection of arcane tomes in his layer.
Morality & Philosophy
The Black Rook wants to bring his people out of the shadows, and he feels that the best way to do that without bringing on the ire of other organizations is to supplant key figures of the world with his own kind. He is typically amoral when it comes to that end, with the ends justifying the means. This is often perceived as evil, since the methods that Reckoner chooses are the most expedient and violent to him in the moment.
