Needle Knows Knick-Knacks
Needle Knows Knick-Knacks is a small curiosities shop located near the center of town and loved by townsfolk for its unique oddities and quirky atmosphere. Families will often visit just to let their kids look around and play with all the special toys and baubles. The walls are lined ceiling to floor with various gems, rocks, toys, stuffed animals, jewelry, statuettes, and more, including numerous mechanisms invented by Needle himself. Niels "Needle" Gambruer, the shops proprietor can often be found in his workshop, tinkering and toying with a new invention or mechanism of some kind. A nearly worn-out bell sits on the front desk that almost always has to be used to call Needle out front to assist customers, since he's almost never at his desk. Although, when guests enter he's always sure to shout the same greeting every time, "Welcome to Needle Knows Knick-Knacks. If you can eye it you can buy it. Ring the bell if you need me for anything." Needle's curiosity shop is a special place filled with life and love for all things small and special. It is not the most popular, nor very widely known shop in Basafield. However, it is very special to those who have found themselves inside. At Needle Knows Knick-Knacks, many of the items on display are designed to be touched, tested, or interacted with. Needle's passion for invention means that he often creates unique, hands-on curiosities that encourage exploration. These interactive elements aren’t magical, but rather the result of Needle's mechanical tinkering. It’s an unspoken rule of the shop that if you're interested in something, feel free to touch it—after all, Needle loves showing off how his creations work.

Needle's successful classics include: the Wash Blossom (water-activated block of salts that releases flower petals), Twinkle Stones (emit a small sparkle and periodic ding when dropped), the Power-Puller (a tool used to assist in pulling up weeds), and Rattle-Reeds (a musical instrument made with thin dowels of glass sitting atop a smooth vibrating metal dome that creates a twinkling white-noise). His newest additions are Foofys (small candle-like objects that emit no light, but create an odorless haze) and the Dandy Hand (a hand-worn exoskeleton glove that passively increases the strength of your grasp or grip).
