Merry Meats and Mead
Merry Meats and Mead is the go to spot in Basafield. It offers the best in hospitality and housing for locals and travelers alike. A large building that sits proudly on the southern edge of the town center. Often referred to as the "Triple M", most everyone in town knows and loves this place as a home away from home. Warm, inviting, and indeed merry, live music is performed here often and there's rarely a of day when the Triple M stands empty. The tavern is highly praised and known to everyone in town. Considered the de-facto spot for travelers and newcomers to town. It is a large tavern, able to seat about 80-100 patrons in the main dining hall, not including the large 3-sided bar at the end of the hall. There are around 10 standard rooms available for rent and an additional 5 luxury suites. The Merry Meats and Mead also boasts “The Grand Hearth,” a massive, intricately-carved fireplace at the center of the dining hall. The hearth is magically attuned to the moods of the patrons: when spirits are high, the flames burn brightly and dance in vibrant hues of orange and gold. But when tensions rise or trouble brews, the fire dims and crackles with ominous blue embers. In the center of the main dining hall, off to the side is a moderately sized stage for performances of all kinds. Complete with a proscenium, curtain, and mirrored spotlighting.
