Traditional
Old language of Sun Dragons currently spoken by aristocrats, scholars and schools. Traditional language is most commonly found nowadays in Air dragon territories and on schools of Dreamcarers and Starward Nation

Coastal
Originally ancient Gryphons language adopted by Water dragons that includes a lot of body language and tail-motions. This language is taught to those that are expected to run into the Water dragons as a means of easier communication with them. Jungle dragons use this language ceremonially.

One of the oldest languages preserved to this day. Gryphons use Winder both in common speech as well as for ceremonial purposes. Dragons who live in gryphon-contested territories may opt to learn it as well. Winder is strictly verbal language that doesn't make use of non-verbal elements.

Ascender
Language derived from Traditional with some aspects of influence taken from Moonwatch. Ascender is a holy language utilized almost exclusively by Fire dragons dragons, it consists of short, nearly barking-like sentences and words that can convey a lot of general information quickly. Commanders and warriors use this language in military.

Traduun
Traduun can be directly translated as „Trader's cant“ and originates from Jungle dragon territories, although nowadays its spread and usage is reaching far outside of their homeland. Traduun utilizes both head, paw and wing motions extensively as well as different tones of voice to convey its meaning. Its relative ease of learning and use is possibly why it is the most common language known on the Continent.

Moonwatch
Few languages are as difficult for non-Mud dragons to learn as Moonwatch. This language utilizes not only a tone of voice but also volume, and a single word can mean different things when it is half-whispered as opposed to shouted out loud. The origin of this language is speculated to go back towards the era of Moon dragons, as its roots bear some similarities to Traditional.

Seaspeak
Seaspeak is a non-verbal language taught to all Water dragons born at the seas. It cannot be replicated by non-water dragons as it requires series of luminescent flashes that only they can perform with their stripes. It is very commonly used underwater as a means of communication.

Earthen
Earthen is a language used by Kateraks, and it is closely related to Winder, which was adopted by Gryphons to better simulate their own way of speaking. Very few know how to read this language, and even fewer know how to speak it.
