Winter Formal

The students of Midnight High look forward to the Winter Formal because it marks a lot of intensely magical energies getting set off at once, which usually makes it an event that is poorly chaperoned because the responsible adults are all busy with nonsense. It's a rife time for teenage insanity.

It's also one of the more unique events that happen in Midnight Town, and to some degree it's valued more than the more traditional dances like prom or homecoming, mostly because it's something that your average human doesn't have, because they have other traditions.

The dance is typically focused more on friend groups than on couples. Most such events at Midnight High follow this pattern, because with diversity of species comes a lot of adults who are wary of cross-pollinating, so to speak. With political tensions usually flaring between some group or another, it's a good idea to try and keep students apart, to the best of their abilities.

The event is traditionally managed by a student committee that is overseen by a teacher. This year, those teachers are Emma Solana and Matthew Davids, and some of the students are Hanna Bacon, Amethyst Tapping, Brandon Carew, and Jennifer Lemagre. The only one who really wanted to be there was Jennifer, but Hanna and Amethyst eventually came around.
