Midnight High

It's a school that looks like it should be more expensive than it is, but it's actually a public school. Technically. If you live in Midnight Town, and you're in the know. But why would you live in Midnight Town unless you were in the know?

A Magical School Without the Magic

Everything about the school is designed to be suitable for outside exposure while also being a good environment for the students who go there who are entirely magical. There are even a few elementals who can be seen in the halls, some bigfoots, and a number of vampires who cart their sunshields everywhere.   There's also the fact that it's a public school, so there are a number of required courses that are a lot more mundane than most people in town are used to. It has a gym, a cafeteria that would fit into any high school movie, and an auditorium that has seen better days. But also, it used to be a private school and had a lot of money and magic go into the building of the school, so several parts of it are in fact quite fancy.   As such, the vibes of the school are all over the place. The exterior stone and wood paneling inside fit perfectly with the occasional linoleum floor in the hallways.   The principal's office is a holdover from when it used to be used exclusively by mages. Located at the center of the school's various wings, it can be found up a spiral staircase. Or an elevator, if you don't feel like making the walk. The office is in a tower, and the space inside is larger than would make sense from seeing it outside. The outer office is where a handful of assistants operate.   The inner office is rather spectacular, a holdover from the magical school days. There's a broad window on the far wall that looks out into the distance. It has no glass, but a spell keeps things warm anyway. The desk is enchanted mahogany, and the chairs are antiques taken from a vampire with a lot of debts. The wall has a "painting" that features the Ilyanoreth.
