Emma Solana

Emma is a teacher in her mid twenties who is on her seventeenth job since having graduated college with a teaching degree. Only one of those firings was her own fault, and she fully admitted to it. The rest of it has nothing to do with her.
Her eyes are "hazel." She says that they tend to reflect what she's wearing and so people get different impressions of what her eye color is. In reality, they change color depending on how much magic she's used.
Not that she knows that magic even exists, let alone that she's using powers.
Emma's specialty is teaching writing and literature. She's done so for a variety of ages.
She's very sensible and she prides herself on this. She talks to herself a lot, affirming and reaffirming things that are going on around her.
Keeps her life fairly contained, because she's had to move a fair amount in her adult life. Her parents would be happy to have her come back home, but she really wants to make something of herself so she's toughing it out.
She's a very good listener, and very good at giving advice.

Magic and Emma

Just because she isn't using it consciously doesn't mean it's not a consistent part of her life. Her parents came from somewhere similar to Midnight Town, leaving behind their lives as Chosen One figures so that they could have some peace. As such, Emma is entirely unaware of that world.
