Brandon Carew

Brandon Carew is a grumpy blond boy who looks chronically underfed and as if he averages an hour of sleep per night.
He's an orphan under the guardianship of Merlin (tree) and the Lady of the Lake (nymph). A bit paranoid, keeps his stuff close, scowls a lot. The direct descendant of Sir Percival, responsible for keeping Excalibur safe, and for throwing it into bodies of water. Seems like he should be a troublemaker but in actuality tends to stay quiet and obey authority.
Girlfriend is Elaine (of Astolat, redux). He's helping to shift the narrative with the current crop of renewed court members, and one of the changes was him being there to stop Elaine from ending her life.
Moved to Midnight Town in the last year, so the remedial class is to help him catch up to their standards, ostensibly. It's also because of some sort of disciplinary action in the few months he attended Midnight High at the end of the last school year.
Helpful, in subtle ways. Keeps a lot of notes in class and willing to share. "Sure, I'll help you study," not the cheater type. A bit of a loner due to natural personality and also due to being relatively new to the area.
