Lunais Crescents
Introduction
Realms of Alézun'Teran does not have a natural day-and-night cycle. It is instead something that needs to be applied to them. Solis Rings brings forth the day and Lunais Crecents brings forth the night. They are grandiose Artifacts of Power designed by Architect Himself, and together they bring forth dusk and dawn.
Position matters little
Lunais Crescents are primarily hooked unto the Himlavalv at high altitudes, but may also be placed on the ground or an equivalent. Submerged under water is also quite popular among Selathi.
Position matters little, however, as their properties permeates all mundane forms of matter. Their potency, range and effects are determined by the skills and capabilities of their creators. They can either bestow a realm eternal night, or something akin to perpetual twilight, unless it is coupled with a Solis Ring. While Canvass Himlavalvs are capable of depicting nigthskies that can fool the human eye, only Lunais Crecents have shown to perfectly mimic the properties of a natural moving night sky, in terms of endless sensational wonder and depth. It will be a night skye without stars,
Functionality
Lunais Crescents functionality stretch the natural laws of physics regarding light to their breaking point, and they utilize Vapors of Sereoth to accomplish this.
Lunais Crecents emit something that has been designated as Lunais Light, or Night Light. At its immediate source it is silver-white and near blinding, but beyond that its enveloping veil shifts to various shades of dark blue and black. For a standard illumination cycle, the light will wander across a realm as if there existed a literal moon that wandered across the firmament. The shadows will also reflect this as naturally as possible. Even if the Lunais Crescent is right next to the rocks, their shadows will be directed away from a supposed midnight moon, even if it means pointing directly towards the Crescent.
Lunais-Embers
In contrast to Solis Rings, Lunais Crescents immidiate silver-white light that encompasses its form irregularly gives off twinkling embers that lasts for anything between minutes, to hours and even years. These so-called lunais-embers float freely about for a varied amount of time before they are properly caught in the darker shades of the light, and eventually forms zodiac signs.
Appearance & Touch
A Lunais Crescent looks like a crescent shard of light, that is primarly shaded either white-yellow or silver-white. They are described as having a slight wetness to them, as if they are covered in cold dew. They are be physically touched by Melathi.
