Elf

Elves make up approximately 15% of the population and are the second most physically diverse. Elves are also the most mentantly sensitive of all the races.

Physical Characteristics

Elves stop physically aging between 20 and 40, depending on their adimus rank. From a physical standpoint, elves always have sharp facial features and pointed ears as opposed to the more rounded faces and ears of humans and dwarves. Like humans, elves have a fairly diverse range of skin tones, eye colors, and hair colors but unlike humans, elves cannot change their eye and hair color using their adimus. In addition, elves always have straight hair of various lengths.
Elves have two different ranges for their height: 1.45 to 1.5 meters and 1.8 to 2.1 meters. Because of their highly active adimus immune system, elves are always very slender and are the least susceptible to illness and disease including adimus based illnesses.
Elves naturally produce far more females and can usually only get pregnant once in their lifetime, if at all.

Adimus Capabilities

Elves produce a higher percentage of quickeners than any other race; nearly one in ten elves are born with the rank. Elves produce mentants and channelers at about the same rate as humans but do not produce environs or any of the rare adimus classifications. In addition, elf mentants can promote to mind mage far easier than any other race. It’s extremely unlikely for elves to become nons, even if they do not use much mentus.
Elves have the deepest adimus energy pool of all races and have a naturally higher aptitude with accessing and using the mentant realm. This is one of the reasons why elves are more likely to become mind mages and are sensitive to malice. Their attunement to the mentant realm also allows them to make universal songs and living weapons.
