Nesrum
City
The city of Nesrum is one of the largest in the Lands of the Spring Rise, on the coast of the lake Alkiirefel. While relatively new settlement, it has grown rapidly during last 200 or so years from simple village to a important trading spot.
Industry & Trade
In the past 200 hundred years, the industry of Nesrum has been growing rapidly, thanks to the boom started by the Purple Pearl trade. Started from efforts of Salohri Aerlareth, Nesrum has become the main hub of growing Kythapiir Mussels and culturing Purple Pearls, which has grown the city exponentially thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of the local heroine, Salohri Aerlareth.
With the Kythapiir Mussels and the Purple Pearls, Nesrum's important exports are fabrics, dyes, grapes, wine, hazelnuts and tobacco. Specially fabric industry has been booming recently, increasing the demand of talented weavers.
Guilds and Factions
Nesrum is the home of the Precious Pearl Trading Company, which rules over good amount of local business, from mussel farms to taverns and general stores. Besides the Trading Company, the city is home to several guilds which have haphazardly grown to the rapidly growing city.
Tourism
Many who travel through Nesrum come to see the mussel farms and taste the delicious Kythapiir Mussels, as well as visit the Honeydew Ward, well known from providing a varied source of entertainment.
