Sophie Baelish
Princess of the New Vale, Ruler of the Valley Sophie Corbray- Baelish (a.k.a. Bride of the Vale, Laenya zo Lezehrq)
Personality
Before anything else, she carries herself as a lady, for her honor as a daughter of the Vale does not permit her to act otherwise. She was raised in a world of decorum, grace, and unyielding principles, where dignity was both a shield and a weapon. Even now, far from the sheltered life she once knew, those values remain deeply ingrained in her. Sophie had always been intelligent yet naive, a dreamer who believed in the kindness of the world—until exile shattered those illusions. Forced to navigate a world far harsher than the one she had left behind, she learned painful truths about betrayal, survival, and the cruelty of men. The innocence she once carried so easily is now a fragile remnant of the past, lingering in the way she still sometimes hesitates, still sometimes hopes. But she is no longer blind to reality. The safe haven of the Vale is gone, and she knows now that she must rely on more than just honor and tradition to survive.History
Since Sophie left the Vale to establish Darkwater Valley, she was forced to strike numerous deals with neighboring rulers to maintain peace along the borders of her fledgling nation. Many of these agreements came at a painful cost, none more so than the one that required her to send her own son and heir to the treacherous city of Lys—a sacrifice that still weighed heavily on her heart. To protect herself and her family, she severed ties with her past, abandoning the name that once carried so much honor. They took on new identities, shrouding themselves in secrecy. Sophie, once renowned for her regal presence and flowing, majestic hair, made a final, drastic choice—she cut it all off, leaving herself bald, a symbol of her transformation. No longer would she be recognized as the noblewoman from the Vale; she had become someone else entirely, a leader forged by necessity, sacrifice, and the harsh realities of the world she now ruled.Family Ties

I followed the arched porches that surrounded the garden—not to avoid the sun, but because a lady must maintain her manners, even in difficult times. Once I crossed the garden, I reached the eastern corridor. Through the great windows, the sun cast its warmth upon the cold morning air until I arrived at the Winter Hall. There, waiting for me, stood Noriphos Dynion and Harges Kott, gathered around a fine wooden chair at the end of the hall. A few guards were stationed by the door. My footsteps echoed through the silent chamber. Though not as vast as the Throne Room of the Eyrie, the Winter Hall was large enough to serve as the throne room of Darkwater Valley. Harges was the first to break the silence, speaking in flawless Valyrian. "Good morning, Princess." Noriphos quickly echoed, "Good morning, Princess." I took a few measured steps toward the wooden throne and seated myself. "Good morning... shall we begin?" They both nodded, and after a brief pause, Harges spoke again. "The Temples of the Seven and of R'hllor are being built according to plan. Of course, it will take decades to complete the Sept. The Temple of R'hllor will also take years, though not as long. As for the expansion of the Temple of the Black Goat, it is progressing well. It will be the first to be completed, as its existing structure is already solid." I inclined my head slightly. "Very well. What of the Godswood?" Harges replied, "The Godswood has been cleared and isolated, as you commanded. A pond has formed there, but the trees are still young. The Weirwood we acquired from Westeros remains too small to carve a face upon it." "Understandable." Noriphos then spoke of another matter. "Commerce is faring well. Under the influence of the East Essos Trading Company and Lorath, most trade routes pass through our lands, moving north to south and back. However, winter has been harsh, and we will need to secure more fish. Perhaps we should approach Redfort to expand his fleet." "We shall send him a messenger—and gold. Someone we can trust." Noriphos inclined his head. "Of course, my lady. Another matter: the name 'Darkwater Valley' is rarely used by outlanders. Rumors of your true identity are widespread, and they call these lands 'New Vale.'" I straightened in my seat, ensuring my voice carried strength. "Continue using the official name. It is the least we can do."
