Alayne is not the cleverest of her age; however, she has the ability to speak fluently in Low Valyrian and the Common Tongue, though reading is not her best skill. Even though her mother and Harges Kott try to educate her, she prefers spending her free time outdoors. Her mother planted a garden with a heart tree in it, but she doesn't let her run there. "You must show respect to your own roots" to which she usually replies, "As if the tree's roots were mine." She likes climbing and hiding—anything that is absolutely not considered ladylike by her mother, who wants her to behave properly.History
Alayane was born when a war started, which in the end led to the death of her presumed father. For this reason, she gained the nickname the Forlorn Princess from her own people. After that, her mother, her brother, and she were exiled from that distant land to what is now called Darkwater Valley.Family Ties
