The fourth born of the Blythe Ash line and Jay's brother. Jacob means supplanter or replacement. Claude means lame. Jacob being the first boy after Jay was who their father was looking to make his next heir after it became clear Jay and him did not share the same views. (They share opposite views in fact). Their fathers' hope of Jacob being his replacement heir became slimmer when a genetic mutation caused Jacob’s legs to be unable to grow at the average rate. The disability made it difficult for him to walk growing up but with being the son of a rich old family in Mayvis witches were able to get him to a point where he can walk around without trouble for about five hours a day before needing a cane and at least three hours of rest least he injure himself. On top of that Jacob found a love in math and arithmancy and an absolute hatred for politics. He is by far the most eager of the siblings to move out of the family manor and get away from the rest of them. Because of all the work done to strengthen his legs he had to depend on his arms more often so he has strong arms (killer left hook).
