Museo de Arqueología y Antropología de Peru
The Museo de Arqueología y Antropología de Peru is part of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (National University of San Marcos). It's located in Lima, Peru. The museum is a recent addition to the campus. While the university was founded in 1551, making it the oldest seat of higher learning in the Americas, the museum was only opened in 1919. It is housed in a long, two-story stone building painted dark yellow, fronted by the University Park.
The Museo had both a copy of the Confessions of Gaspar Figueroa and the missing piece of the Golden Ward, making it vital to the Investigators learning about the history of the Kharisiri and giving them some idea of what they might face at the Pyramid Tomb. It was also the site of tragedy, as Trinidad Rizo, a teaching assistant who was fetching the items in the basement was murdered by Luis de Mendoza. Mendoza also tried to infect Professor Nemesio Sánchez with one of the larva-like creatures that transform a human into a kharisiri, but this was prevented by some fast medicine from Dr. Peter O'Hare.
