Wunschau City Watch

The Wunschau City Watch is a small militia numbering around 25 people. Their main duties include patrolling the streets at night, manning gatehouse towers, collecting duties, and patrolling the gate at the entrance to the Zwerghof. Lately, they have also been involved in military operations against the Landgraf of Greifswald, and in dealing with the fallout resulting from the Plague and the burning down of the Westweg vorburg.
The Captain of the City Watch is Helga -a woman with a fearsome reputation, and known to be a zealot. Franz der Schwarzhoffen is a Wachtmeister in the militia, and well-known to all its members. His father, uncle and brother have all at various times been connected with the watch as well. Among militia members encountered thus far are Erich and Johann - Franz's friends who were charged with asking about the possible location of tunnels under the city, and two guards stationed outside the Zwerghof.
Erich and Johann subsequently joined the party (for pay) in their first foray into the hard-hit areas of Markwald. Erich was almost killed in a fight with bandits. He then pushed hard to have the bandits executed, but was outvoted. After the triumphant return to Wunschau, the two split off from the party to celebrate the victory. 
Helga was also encountered upon the return to Wunschau. Franz asked her to house the bandit prisoners at the Rathaus gaol, but she rejected his request, saying that the bandits were the Margrave von Rabenwald's business, not the town's.
