Wunschau Zwerghof

This walled compound is the residence of a number of dwarfs  - probably more than a dozen, and certainly less than 100. It contains roughly five stone buildings with low slanted roofs and wide double doors. The yard of the compound is home to a number of pigs, who root around for apples fallen from the trees. The compound is gated, and guarded by members of the City Watch, who shut the gates at night, making sure no one comes in or out.   The dwarfs inside the compound - at least, those who have been observed thus far, are all uniformly bearded. They engage in a variety of activities - primarily jewelry-making, and counting money. Their leader, Brimir, claims to be a scholar, however, though it is not clear what exactly he studies. He does seem to have some familiarity with the tunnels built in the vicinity by his people around 1000 years ago, though he is not particularly keen on this information getting out.   The Zwerghof has been built at the sufferance of the Margrave of Rabensburg, with whom the residents seem to have extensive dealings. Their relationship with the Wunschau Rat  is not as good, and Brimir in particular fears that his people will be expelled on account of being scapegoated for the Plague. It is known that similar compounds in nearby towns have already been similarly "cleansed", and in some cases, the dwarfs there have suffered an even worse fate.
