Prince Laurin

Laurin is the son of King Schweigder, lord of Fallsmar. He is a worldly and attractive dwarf who speaks lightly-accented Tungrisch. He appears richly dressed, with mail made of fine links, and vestments sewn with gold and silver thread. He keeps his beard well-plaited.   Laurin was fetched by Austri to meet with adventurers who found themselves inside a meeting chamber in the dwarf realm. Sigisar, after informing the prince that he was the heir of House Horstkopf, asked for his aid to allow Kaleb to access the realm of Niflheim. After some negotiation, Laurin agreed, in exchange for a written agreement signed and sealed by Sigisar promising to protect the dwarfs of his realm, and to repeal discriminatory laws against them.     Laurin also caught the eye of Narcissa, who asked him to send his crafters to help rebuild and develop her own abandoned estate. To this, Laurin also agreed, and sealed the deal with an exchange of rings with her.    Laurin appears as a highly discerning dwarf. When faced with pushback from Sigisar, he pointed out that most of his father's advisors were very conservative, and wanted no dealings with humans, so he claimed he was going out on a limb to make a deal with the travelers.
