Raubvögel Military Formation in Manarchy | World Anvil

Raubvögel

The sky boomed the second we noticed the shadow in the sky near the command tent. As i was waking up, the place looked as if it was directly bombed, the tents were torn out and all the officers were lying on the ground, lifeless and dismembered or severely maimed. That thing who dropped on us wasn't any normal human or weapon for sure. But i sure remember the smell of those tranenfeldians' drug in the air; Levendvile. No sign of the perpetrator but blades in the ground and large traces of bird-like prints on the mud. But what came sure did what they wanted, as our troups in the front was overwhelmed by the confusion.

Equipment

Raubvögels equipments varies depending on the individual, but all of them includes: a propeler engine, a wingsuit with razor-sharp wings, an arm-controlled spray system filled with Levendhvile connected to the left part of the chest, a bird-shaped helmet with integrated air filters, and an insignia.

Weaponry

Most Raubvögel are equipped with a long-range and a close range weapon, but all of them can use the wings as slashing objects and covers their dead angles when fighting multiple foes. Some Raubvögel, like (character), have added an 'explosive' feature to those wings, acting like shrapnel blades spreading around them, since they can use the flying ability with spells. If they are assigned to an assassination mission, they are also equipped with a self-destruction apparatus so they cannot be kept as prisonners, or making sure their mission goes succesfully.

Tactics

Most Raubvögel are dispatched separated from each other, or sent in pairs. Their tactics and uses varies, but most are used to launch decapitation strikes against opposing forces, since their equipment and expertise in assassination makes them swift and really deadly foes to counter.

History

Historical loyalties

The Raubvögel are loyal members of the Kingdom of Tränenfeld, but their main allegiance remains to the House of Von Skellig, as most of their support and training are covered by that House, and report directly to the House in priority. Fortunately, very few disagreements happened between both of those.
