Harfolk Sanctuary

Harfolk Sanctuary is the capitol of a civilization of peaceful goblinoids, orcs, gnolls, and other monstrous folk within the Ulgoine Valley during the Age of Community.  The inhabitants can draw their lineage back to the end of the Age of Heroism where a fracture of the Chinew Peoples joined Tersule, Kag Bhurim, and the Lothin Diarchy in their opposition to the demon invasion that would eventually be known as the Fields of Ichor (973 AH).  The monstrous folk who survived the battles would eventually take over the ruins of Tersule after the human nation crumbled.
While it took time for the monstrous folk to fully learn the ways of agriculture, there was a slow and steady effort in that direction.  Given the space to adjust during the Age of Isolation and closing off of Dul Kag's bottom gate, goblins did learn.  Despite this, they must still fight to be recognized as a peaceful community.  Their greatest opponents to this cause is the Horde of the Risen Caste, the majority of the Chinew Peoples.  The tribes that abandoned the territory returned late into the Age of Isolation to find their brethen taking the place of the humans, however poorly.  As the agricultural skill of Harfolk sanctuary grew, so did the animosity they received from the Horde.  Despite this, they decided a growing rift was better than mending it if it meant stepping back over that line.
