Laklorin Royal Court
The Laklorin Royal Court is the entire circle of nobles dedicated to advising and taking care of the royal family at the royal castle. The innermost circle consists of the king's advisors, the second ring usual contains foriegn diplomats, artists, and scholars who add variety and color to the social scene, and the outer circle being the spouses and relatives of the others as well as visiting nobles. While living at the castle offers a less luxurious life for many of the nobles, it allows them to exist at the center of power, and potentially have the ear of the monarch.
Structure
The authority at court revolves around the monarch. Whoever is closer to them is automatically of a higher status. Within the inner circle of advisors, known as his privy council, there are always the following positions: Supreme Commander (leader of the monarch's armies and advisor on all military matters), The Royal Steward or Chaimberlin (in charge of managing the royal estates and household), the Chancery (In charge of royal documents), The Foreign Minister (In charge of diplomatic relations), and the Minister of Justice (Head of the justice system). This is the monarch's inner council, but there are several other councils that exist at court, including the war council, led by the Supreme Commander which consists of the heads of all the military branches, intelligence brances, as well as law enforcement and the masters of all the knightly orders. The Chaimberlin is also head of the royal household, and has under him the Royal Butler, the Castle Housekeeper, the Pantler, the Seneschal, and the Supreme Usher. The Chancery has a council of scribes and heralds, the Foreign Minister has his diplomats. There are many different roles at court, and countless smaller councils and orders, but one notable one are the ladies-in-waiting, a group of usually a dozen noble ladies who are companions to the women in the royal family. The king's retinue consists of knights, lords, and heralds who follow the king when he travels.
