Craft, Ironworking
This Craft is the primary Skill of Ironsmiths, and is intimately linked to the metal Iron.
Usage
Ironworking is a Skill that requires time. Smelting and Forging also require a very hot fire (needs Charcoal and Bellows) and an anvil to allow the metal to be worked. All Ironworking tasks require the appropriate tools.Rules Notes
Base Skill
The standard base skill level for Ironworking is 5% in cultures using metals and 0% for cultures that have no metal working knowledge.
Transferability
Ironworking is a Skill that is transferable to other metal-crafting at half the skill the person exhibits in Ironworking.
Excluded activities
Ironworking does not include any associated Enchanting, nor does it include subsequent engraving or bejewelling.
