A pushy grandmother
This older woman entered into an altercation with Alden while standing in line to see an itinerant blacksmith at a market in the Nart Quarter. She was in the front of the line, berating the smith for his poor work, and Alden tried to get her to quit complaining, so the line could move. In response, she told Alden he was rude, and then tried to push him down onto the ground when he talked back to her. Alden kept his feet, and prepared to push back, but other people in line, as well as the smith and his assistants, intervened on her behalf. Escalation was headed off when Lokan convinced Alden to leave well enough alone.
The pushy grandmother has not been seen since, but she is presumably still in the Nart Quarter.
She appears in Chapter 14.
