Saltmarsh
Summary
Saltmarsh is a nondescript fishing village tucked away on the southern coast of the Kingdom of Keoland. It has existed along the coast of the Azure Sea for over a century, serving as a fishing mecca for fisherman and as a political stronghold for the forces that have battled over it-- namely King Skotti of Keoland and the Sea Princes.Politics
Saltmarsh is overseen by the Saltmarsh City Council, who consist of a handful of important peoples from various backgrounds. They meet once weekly to discuss town matters. King Skotti's conquest of Saltmarsh was politically dividing for many of the denizens of the town. Those who begrudgingly live under the new royal of the crown and yearn for simpler times before a king call themselves traditionalists, while those who have taken a liking to the security and prosperity that Keoland has provided have dubbed themselves loyalists.Commerce
Commerce in Saltmarsh flourishes thanks to the many skills and trades that can be found amongst the city. The average adventurer will be able to meet all of their basic needs in the city-- whether it be weapons, armor, adventuring gear, or anything in between. The majority of Saltmarsh's wealth comes from its fishin industry, a good majority of which is owned by Anders Solmor and Gellan Primewater. Recently, the new Copperlocks Mine has provided an alternative means of work and a promising new industry for the area as well.Major Points of Interest
