Cloud Peaks
Summary
Cloud Peaks is a small village within the Kingdom of Keoland that is home to the world-renowned Gloryforge, the revered Watchers of the Fallen, and the jewel that is the Church of Helm. It is located at the peak of the hill country in the Saltmarsh Region and sits just outside of the Dreadwood.Politics
The city functions as a general theocracy, accepting guidance from the Church of Helm. The church is currently headed by Father Metrodious who takes all of his holy commandments from the lawfully neutral god of protection, Helm. This has fared well for the village for quite some time, and eventually spawned the Watchers of the Fallen who have kept the city safe.Demographics

Most industry and commerce in the city is guided by the Church of Helm by one way or another. The Watchers of the Fallen secure the largest chunk of indsutry in the city by selling their service as war clerics to the Keoland Army. Mining is another large industry from Cloud Peaks, spearheaded by Manistrad Copperlocks who oversees the electrum quarries of the nearby area as well as The Copperlocks Mine south of Saltmarsh. The Gloryforge is the crowned jewel of the city's commerce, providing high grade weaponry to anyone who can afford it. However, they are usually backlogged for months with orders for the Royal Army, who pays them well. A number of other boutiques have made their home in Cloud Peaks as well.
